Instructors

Julia Beesley

Julia is a registered BHSII instructor with many years experience in the horse industry. She is currently competing at Elementary level dressage and has also successfully evented, show jumped and Competed at ridden showing. She is a Hawley member and our most highly-qualified regular instructor who teaches at Wellington, so you can be sure of her credentials!

In 2006 Julia trained our winning area dressage team and took them to the National Championships in Lincoln and to the London and South East Championships, She also had pupils in the ribbons last year for all the main riding club events: Festival of the Hunter, Area ODE, Area Show jumping and the Two day event Championships to mention just a few. Julia has also worked for Ginny Leng, and has a vast experience with the training of young horses.

Clinics will cost £25 and will take place on:

1st March (jump-cross 12-2pm)

29th March (dressage/showjumping)

26th April (dressage/showjumping)

Douglas Hibbert

Douglas is a BD approved trainer, a talent spotter, a pyramid trainer and a BD list 3 Judge. He has also successfully competed to international level.

Private lessons with Douglas cost £40 and will take place on 8th March, but we will book more if there is a demand.

Darren Hegarty

Many of you will know Darren already as he probably trains quite a few of you! He has a wealth of experience in many fields of equestrianism. He has worked and ridden successfully at international level in showjumping and eventing, and used to work for Tiny Clapham. He has also been placed showing at the Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead and Horse of the Year Show, so there isn't much he doesn't know about horses.

The first few Darren clinics have been very successful and the next dates are:

8th March

5th April (Showing)

19th April

10th May

Cost is just £10 per person at Paynes Cottage, Plough Lane, Bramshill.

Malcolm Hunt

Malcolm is a dressage judge and instructor, and also competes himself at PSG. He is good fun and is one of those trainers who loves teaching at all levels.

His first clinic is on 26th January and costs £20 per horse.
